| Sunrises and newborn babies are beautiful, but so also are sunsets and well-seasoned souls. And life is best enjoyed when we appreciate them all. Sunrises and newborn babies bring the green of life, to life; sunsets and well-seasoned souls bring gold of life, to life. To live life without one or the other is to short-change the fullness of life. |
In Safe Pasture |

| There is a certain peace to be found in old barns and sheep grazing in safe pasture. The old barn is at peace with the passing of time, wearing its age and its weathered boards as a testimony of having served. The sheep are at peace for they trust in the Providence found in this certain autumn day and in this certain gentle field. |
Bringin' 'em Home One Last Time |

| I painted this in tribute to my Grandfather who brought the cows to milking twice a day for fifty-three years, without missing a day, until the day he died. And yes, he passed on while he was bringin' 'em home one last time. |
Canada Goose |

| As a boy I could hear the distant honking of the Canada Geese as they made their way up the Bay of Fundy to the marshes near my New Brunswick home. The sound of those geese signaled the coming of Spring. There are times when I think I can hear the distant laughter of angels and when I do, I can sense once more the coming hope of heaven on earth. |
