Genesis 6:14-20, 7:12 Make yourself an ark. You shall make a window for the ark, and set the door of the ark on the side. Make lower, middle, and upper decks. You are to bring into the ark two of all living animals. The rain fell on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.

Genesis 8:8-11 Noah sent out a dove to see if it could find dry land. The water was still too high so it returned to the ark and Noah held out his hand and drew the dove back inside. Seven days later, Noah released the dove again. This time the dove returned to him a fresh olive leaf in its beak. Noah now knew that the water was almost gone.

Genesis 9:13 I have placed My rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my permanent promise to you and to all the earth.
